Here are 10 safety tips to make sure you and your loved ones have a safe Halloween:

1. 🎃 Stay Visible: Make sure costumes have reflective elements, and bring a flashlight or glow sticks to stay seen.
2. 👻 Costume Safety: Ensure costumes are the right length to avoid tripping. Avoid masks that limit visibility.
3. 🍬 Inspect Candy: Check all treats before eating and discard any unwrapped or suspicious items.
4. 🚶‍♂️ Stay on Sidewalks: Always walk on sidewalks when trick-or-treating, and avoid cutting across lawns.
5. 🚸 Cross Safely: Always use crosswalks and look both ways before crossing streets.
6. 👫 Stick Together: Travel in groups with friends or family for added safety.
7. 🚪 Approach Well-Lit Houses: Only go to houses that have lights on and avoid homes that are not well-lit.
8. 🎭 Make Costumes Flame-Resistant: Check that your costumes are flame-resistant in case you come near candles or jack-o-lanterns.
9. 🕸️ Avoid Strangers’ Homes: Never enter a stranger’s house or car, even if invited in for candy.
10. 🎃 Keep Phones Handy: Make sure at least one person in your group has a fully charged phone in case of emergencies.
